Oh, seems like somebody told me it was going to gain 70 - 80 hp, my bad.

Otherwise, if the B-S (no pun intended ;-) is an underdog in the current SS 
class it certainly is moreso of an overdog in the current AS class, so what 
do you propose the answer to be?  

If you drop the B-S (again, no pun intended ;-) into the AS class, I don't 
see how you cannot justify separating C5's from Z06's and send them there 
too; you still have a Corvette contender class, which goes against your 
premise above.  If you don't do that because of the best of breed viewpoint, 
then you can't justify not bringing the regular Boxster up to combine it in 
the B-S class, at which point those owners aren't any happier than the B-S 
owners are now.

It seems to me that moving the B-S is a lose-lose situation any way you go, 
why would anyone other than a B-S owner want to go there?
