This seems like a good time to put on my old codger hat and relate
my favorite cone story. Boy, this list has been around for 20 years,
what a surprise.

Anyway, I managed to make it to Kansas for the 25th anniversary
of the Solo Nationals, Killer Spit in tow. '97 it was, back when this
list would see hundreds of messages in August before the big event.

I was working the course for ESP. A red Mustang comes screaming
through a gate and WALLOPS one of the cones, major hit. The cone
goes under the car, hits the rear tire and goes sailing maybe 25 - 30 feet
into the air. It hits the ground, bounces and jumps around a bit, and
ends up *standing upright* within the outline of the original location.

I've never ever seen a cone that was displaced so much end up not being
displaced. I couldn't call it in on the radio, I was laughing too hard!
