I'll disagree with Larry, who hasn't been to an SFR event recently... The
problem is one of sites. We don't have anywhere near as much room as AAS
does, so we don't have room to go nearly as fast. We also have only one
concrete site, Marina. My courses are typically 25-35 feet wide. Ben
Martinez and I have designed the majority of SFR courses this year, and They
are typically faster than Larry remembers. Frank and Barbara liked my first
course at GGF, as I recall...
Remember also that at least one person who runs AAS faded on Karen Babb's
North course, too...
Maybe we should make the courses tighter, and that would reduce our
attendance problem. :-)
