There will be schools for both SFR SCCA, and, I believe, NASA. NASA is usually
at Marina, SFR is usually at Candlestick. Each are usually well under $100.
The McKamey school prices vary depending on location and some other variables,
but tends to be $175 - 200.

Both local schools have similar formats, beginning with simple course elements
for the first half of the day, and connecting them into a full course in the
second half.

I've instructed at both for several years, and find that there is plenty of
opportunity to work at any level. Instructors are generally matched with
students' skill level and type of car, on a 2:1 ratio.

It should be noted that, as in many other skill sports, you don't necessarily
have to have a Nat. champion in the car to learn - there is a lot of value in
simply having someone else in the car to watch what you are doing.
