Check the URL I posted.  Some of those filters sound to me like
they're equivalent to running without a filter.  Some of them may be
worse.  Somewhere I read (yeah, yeah, real reliable) that there are
FRAM filters that release Teflon particles into your engine,
intentionally.  No thanks!  If I want Teflon particles stuck in my oil
filter, I'll dump some Slick50 in there.

FRAM may not be all bad.  According to that web site, they make
several filters.  The less expensive ones are apparently junk, but
their premium filter might be okay.  Just make sure it doesn't say
"Teflon fortified" anywhere on the box...Barry, is this what you're
talking about?  What's you're personal favorite?

Some of them do.  Others have lost compression by 60K.
