Hopefully you've checked with SEMA, they cover alot of this warranty 
denial stuff heres the link to the warranty denial page:

I know they can't deny a warranty claim unless they can prove the part 
changed directly affected the failure (i.e. blown shock due to lowered 
springs) but a short shift shouldn't cause a gear failure.
