Pre-made steel lines with bubble flares are widely available in several
standard lengths and are inexpensive.  These lines have bubble flares
and male fittings on both ends.  If you need a female fitting on one
end, you can cut one of these line and replace the male fitting.  Be
sure to make a double flare for the added female fitting.  This can be
done with a standard flaring tool and a double flare die.  Bubble (ISO)
flares require a special, fairly expensive, tool.  Do NOT use copper
line.  Stainless is certainly okay but much harder to work with and
expensive.  In my opinion, unless you plan to make up a lot of lines,
buying the tools (for flaring and bending) just isn't worth it.  If you
really want stainless, take your old lines to some place that duplicate
them for you in stainless.
