Are you sure it was a '92 ZR1 ?  The '92 LT1s had the 100,000 mile plugs
but I don't think the ZR1s got them until '93. I could be wrong though :-)
I suppose I could go out to the parking lot and check the owners manual.

OK. Here's the stuff from the '92 owners manual:

  Spark Plug replacement - LT1 every 100,000 miles
                           LT5 every 30,000 miles

  Spark Plug type        - LT1 AC Type 41-904 (0.050" gap)
                           LT5 AC Type FR2LS (0.035" gap)

I think the 100,000 mile plugs are platinum. Note the specific recommendation
of AC spark plugs. Not NGK. Although I too have heard a lot of good stories
about NGK plugs. I think NGK is American though, not Japanese.

Same thing with synthetic oil. LT1s in '92 and ZR1s in '93.

And to whoever suggested that the LT5 (ZR1 engine) was manufactured by
Yamaha, shame on you. Shame, shame, shame.

Oh well, I guess the people on this list aren't necessarily expected to keep
up on Corvette info. :-)
