You definately want to get that heat shield installed. Not only will it continue to melt things, it is also quite dangerous. If you have a Zenith-Stromberg carburator installed, they have a plug on them that often starts to leak. Even with the heat shield installed, this has caused many fires. Better to play it safe. |
