The POR 15 products have gotten a lot of hype for it's durability and
ability to apply directly on rust (but not scale). My experience with it
has been very limited. On my Ford restoration, I used the POR 15 on the
inner box sections of the cars sills. while I had the ends of the sills open
, I used a multi-sponge glass washer gadget attached to a wooded dowel, the
sponge saturated in POR 15, and coated the internal parts of the sill. That
is the only area that I used the product. Which was in 1996-96. It's unfair
to comment on how it is holding up, because the car still sits in the garage
waiting completion of this restoration and has not been exposed to the
elements, YET!
