Paul,
I have a FelPro gasket set that I ordered from JC Whitney (complete engine
set for $60). The FelPro head gaskets are coated with a blue material.
Someone who usually knows tells me that these are, indeed, composite
gaskets, but my idea of composite gaskets was that they were something more
exotic than that.
I know the British engine specialists sell what they call composite gaskets,
and I'm sure some place such as Rovers North would be able to supply them.
I would be interested to hear opinions from the list about what constitutes
a composite head gasket because I want to use them when I redo my engine,
too.
