I'm currently right in the middle of this swap into my '66. It's tight but
it fits, there are quite a few custom jobs I'm in for in the next few months
though...From the research I've done I'm estimating conservatively 240-250hp
from the Buick 215 I pulled from a '62 Buick Special and the Rover SD1 heads
combo, ported/polished head, Edelbrock intake, Edelbrock 500cfm 4bbl etc. The
best thing about this engine is a 318lb dry weight, pretty close to the stock
Roadster engine weight and it sits in about the same place as the Roadster
motor. I"m getting a website together to post the pictures of the install
process.
Now that the weather is getting so nice here in So.Cal. I'm going nuts not
being able to drive it.
