John,

I just went out and verified it on my car (70 1600). All of the following
assumes that you have the original mechanical oil pressure gauge.

You should have a flexible hose (covered by a loose spring originally) that
screws into the right (passenger) side of the engine block. It is between
the fuel pump and the oil dipstick. From there it goes the the right frame
rail and bask toward the firewall where there should be a bracket coming off
the inner fender at a 90 degree angle. At this point, the fitting on the
hose goes into the bracket and a metal line (looks like one of the metal
brake lines) connects to the hose. From there, the metal line runs up the
firewall behind the brake distribution/proportioning assembly. At the top
of the firewall, it turns toward the drivers side and at the center of the
car (above the tranny tunnel) it goes through the firewall and to the gauge.

help please,
I am putting my roadster together again I have run into a little problem
and I don't know what to do.

It is a 70 1600. I am trying to figure out how the oil pressure switch
is connected to the engine. I have a oil line that comes out behind the
dipstick one down lower on the block into a block with 3 terminals
where does it mount . one line on this block goes to the oil guage
is this correct. any help will be appreciated.
thanks in advance.
