Hi Henry!

I don't use a camber compensator. I use a later Spit rear end (slightly
wider than the earlier), a locked diff (welded) and a dearched spring and
it does fine for me. No hint of squirrelly back there.

I hope you are recuperating quickly! You had better be ready for Mosport!

Take care,
Susan :)

Bob, (and Travis and Evan)

Rocky and Susan have laid some excellent groundwork. Interesting
conversation about the rear axles, but did I miss the camber compensator???
Or is there some other way of sorting out that funky rear suspension?

One very important thing to do before you even touch the car is you need to
figure out where and with what sanctioning bodies you plan to run the car.
Get the Spitfire specs from each, THEN plan what you need to do.

For example, differences in Rocky's post and the SVRA specs are the 8 point
roll cage is illegal and SVRA does not require 6 point belts. Every
sanctioning body has a different approach to Vintage Racing, so it pays to
do your homework before you spend any money.

Welcome to the fray, and the best of luck!
