I never saw Vegimite sandwich on any restaurant menu (1988), but you should
have no problem buying a small jar of Vegimite in a supermarket.  We "tried"
it and said...OK, I've tried it.

Cheers and you'll love Oz.  We had a great 16 day vacation back then.  We
visited
with a local chapter of the Triumph Sports Owners Assoc in the Melbourne
area
one evening.  Maybe someone on this list has some current contacts.
