The nostalgia movement with retro cars is the appeal of buying the one  you 
wanted and didn't have in your youth. (B-J auction as proof!) Minis and  
Mustangs appeal to the teenagers of the late 60's and early 70's..the 45-55 
year  
olds of today... a pretty good demographic target. I'm afraid a 1950's era 
retro 
 car appeals to a demographic that is much too limited. Ford played this out 
over  the past 5 years with the T-bird. If it took 3-5 years more years to get 
a  TR3 retro out, the throng of buyers would be even smaller sad to say. Now  
if BMW could make the Triumph marque appeal to the sports compact  tuner 
market...
 
John Frymark (lusted after a Boss 302 but got a TR4A  instead!)
