I'll comment, sorry but this is not going to offer any encouragement.

Ken Gillanders sells a 87mm racing liner off the shelf that has more meat
where we need it, really much better suited for racing.  Eliminating the
thin spots in the bored out 86mm liners has to be a good thing!

The reboring of 86mm liners for racing purposes doesn't make sense to me
anymore. For a stock or mildly warmed up engine, sure, but not an all-out
race motor.
