As long as you can keep the inside wheel touching the ground a bit, 
the quaife works fine.  Lift the inside wheel and it's still better 
than an open diff, but not like some of the other diffs.  The 
Salisbury or the Locker handle an inside rear off the ground much 
better.  The Quaife forces you to be a better, smoother driver.

The reason I can run a locker is that my axle is based on a Ford 8" 
diff., so lockers are actually available for that.

I'm not aware of sources for lockers for the TR, but would love to 
find a source!
