Unless you believe "World War II Combat Aircraft" Military Press, p.162. It
states that the BMW 803, 28 cylinder used on the FW 190D experimental
produced 3800 hp. Back to you Marx.

I just had a look at the R-3350 engine....it has 2800 kW = 3780 HP.

So you're right....the strongest piston aircraft engine remains in USA.....
