I regularly used to drive my TR4a from London up to the Isle of Skye where my
mum still lives, about 850 miles, 4 fuel stops and my best was just under 10
hours (including stops !) .... On the pic roads and timed to be late at night
and through till breakfast to miss the traffic.
Not quite racing but on the public roads and as quick as the lovely little
soul would go.
Top speed on the Tom Tom was on the a9 over the top of Drummacloch in the
highlands about 4am as i recall where the reading was 125mph, windows up,
hardtop on and flat to the floor. Su's and wire wheels as I remember too.
