 I've been reading this thread and what worked for me in my street TR3A alo=
ng with a high capacity water pump and electric fan was the old hot rod tri=
ck of replacing the thermostat with a "water restrictor disc'=C2=A0 This is=
 nothing more than a aluminum disc with a hole in it.=C2=A0 The kit comes w=
ith 3 discs with different size holes.=C2=A0 I got them from Jeggs #555-511=
05=C2=A0 $6.39.=C2=A0 =C2=A0I've had the TR3 for 49 years and it always ran=
 hot.=C2=A0 Even in hot weather in a 2 mph parade I rarely get above 190 de=
grees now.=C2=A0 Everyone of these cars is different.=C2=A0 My stock TR4A h=
as nothing more than the TR6 multiblade fan and upgraded water pump and I c=
an't get it over 160 degrees.=C2=A0 It could be used as a farm engine!!!=C2=
=A0 Conversely I run no thermostat in my 69 Datsun 2000 vintage race car (I=
 know blasphemy) and an electric fan for sitting on the grid.
