Byron - anytime you are in the northern IL area, you let me know... I goto
Gingerman, Road america, Gateway international, Mid-Ohio, Michigan
International and some others... I'm not big on autoX but will try anything
once.
Had a '93 camaro that I raced for years, but it was getting tired (it does
have 65,000 miles on it but is still going strong, Brembo's, 12 point cage,
the works) figured I would "step up to the plate" and get a ZO6, took it to
Route 66 raceway and ran a small course during a Vette only day (these Vette
people are crazy) and did have the low time of the day by 2 seconds....
it is now tucked away with 1200 miles on it... looking forward to my April
20th date @ Road America... For the 1st time in my life, I will not have to
try to take a Viper in the corners... I will actually be able to hold my own
down the straight... you know how many times I have passes a Viper from the
Apex to the exit in turn 5, or 17... just to have them pass me back up by the
next corner, for me to catch them back in that corner... they never give up
either :).... but now things will be different...
You know, Michael, I'm thinking that if you loan me that Z06
for say, a couple weeks (or maybe months) I might be able to
figure out how to secure the G-Cube into it. I'd need you
to provide some nice sticky Hoosiers, of course, to be sure
that the mounting is strong enough. ;-) ;-)
