Where do you get the convex glass to do the replacement. My BJ7 has a
single fender mirror, bullet type, at about the front of the windshield.
Can't adjust the angle on it to get much more than the ground 20 feet back
of the car. Putting in convex glass would be a big help.

Rick,

Seems to me you have multiple choices.
   1. Stay with what you have and get used to it.

    2. Replace with convex mirrors at present location and get slightly
larger field of view. The view is not great but once again get used to it.

    3. Replace with convex mirrors but locate them closer to the door.
This is what I did - positioned in a line extended from the back of the
hood. Of course you have holes to deal with now up front. Field of view is
much better than with mirrors mounted forward.

    4. Follow the suggestion from Michael on door mounted mirrors and get
very good field of view.

It all boils down to whatever floats your boat.
