Flashers

I did some work on the rear end of my car which required me to remove the rear
lights. When I put it back together the right rear was much brighter than the
left and flashed at a different rate. It looks like the different elements in
the bulbs are lit when the running lights are on. Would that make a
difference? Prior to my handywork the lights worked and blinked perfectly..
