Hi all,

As far as my BT7 goes, when it was in bare metal, I went over the frame with a
fine tooth comb multiple times tapping and pushing, looking for soft-spots. If
I am interpreting correctly the descriptions and the diagram that was listed,
my car appears not to have ever had the holes that are being described. I
remember, because I considered long whether I wanted to put in Waxoyl, and
found no openings and decided not to drill holes. -There was nothing on the
rails that even hinted at having been welded closed... Did the bloke on the
assembly line who drilled the holes step out for some crumpet the morning my
car was produced? Is it possible that the holes in question are from PO's who
were Waxoyl fans? The reported randomness makes me suspicious. I'm really
mainly familiar with the 3000 MK 1 and 2, so I can't speak to details on cars
that came before and after..
