I didn't know there was that much money in Liverpool? I wonder what
bank they "borrowed" it from?

By the way, did you hear about the young soccer player from Iraq who
joined the Liverpool football club? After the Iraq invasion he was
discovered by some UK Fusiliers and was flown out to join the team in
2004.

Apparently he was showing so much promise that after only 5 weeks
practice with the team, the coach decided to give him a go in a game
against Chelsea, figuring it didn't really matter to take the risk,
they were going to lose anyway.

Well right at the end of the game, the Iraqi really did a number and
scored two goals. He tied the game and was the talk of the team. The
first thing he did after the game was to go to the locker room and
call his Iraqi mother and father. He calls them up and says "Mama
Papa... you can't believe it, they've signed me up on a two year
contract and I am the most popular sports player in Liverpool!! I
scored two goals against Chelsea!!"

To which his mother replied "Well that's just great son, while you've
been enjoying yourself playing football and making lots of money, your
father and I have been running through the streets, ducking behind
cars on the way to the market, dodging gunfire and bullets everyday!"

The Iraqi thought for a moment and said "I'm really sorry about that
Mama, I guess I should have never moved you and Papa to Liverpool."

;)

Cheers,

Alan
