Hi Don,

The shoulder nuts may solve one problem, but how about the other.  The 
pump is threaded differently than the brass water valve that is supposed 
to screw into it. In fact, my "new" pump, as it came, has a plain nipple 
screwed into this hole with a different thread than the shutoff valve 
thread. You can't just remove the nipple & screw the valve in. What is 
your solution to this part of the problem?
