BT7s don't have a booster but nice thought. 

Your compression in 1 is much too low.  Take the head off first to
inspect the gasket.  Is the smoke black or white?  Does it smell like
water or oil?  That's important to know.

If it smells like water and is white in color, I would try putting in
a (don't shoot me here) a radiator sealer in like Alumaseal.

If it is oil, you need to check to see if your banjo bolt on top of
the rocker is loose... it may be pumping too much oil under the tappet
cover because it's not tightened down properly... this will cause oil
to leak intor your cylinders through the valve guides.
