I forgot to mention that the previous owner had David Nock at British Car
Specialists go over the car with a fine toothed comb. I talked with those
folks over the phone before buying my plane ticket to SFO. My point in this
post is that even tho I had a reputable person inspect the car (although I
honestly didn't know it at the time), I still went out to deliver the check
after seeing the car. I then arranged for somebody to haul it back to the
Northern VA area. It arrived with the right rear tire flat and the gas tank
leaking like a sieve. I replaced the gas tank and fixed the tire and all
was right with the world, especially after I joined the CAAHC and
participated in a few of their great activities (aside from the terrible
Mexican Food at the place where monthly meetings were held!)
