Kirk,

I think this is a bit severe. It's quite likely Norm just responded to Kenny's
original inquiry before he saw your response. I believe most of us read--and
reply to--the messages sequentially, which means we have some redundant,
or out of sequence replies.

Show of hands: how many Listers read ALL responses to a thread BEFORE
replying to any? At the least, how many read the messages last to first,
another method to eliminate redundant or out-of-context replies? Not many,
I suspect (myself included).

Personally, I find it helpful when Norm or Dave mention they have a hard-to-find
part, and they're both professional Healey mechanics, whose advice should be
respected. I'd hate to scare them off the List.

At one time we had a concensus--a large majority, actualy--who felt it was OK
for individuals to list parts for sale, or for suppliers to mention a new or
previously
unavailable part was now available. I don't believe the Nocks have abused that
agreement.

Norm's book contains insights you won't find in any other publication. I
usually
recommend it to newbie Healey owners.

MHO only.
