Steve
I sent the seller a note last night asking to see the car in person, its
only 15 miles from home, but have not received a reply. Really wanted to see
the
pink coves in person!

We let eBay know this was a possible scam. No auto auction house by the name
listed in Hawaii. Price of car listed at $5250. Bidders kept private. If
bidders are real, which I doubt, this fraud is more complicated than the norm.

Checking the bidders history shows all are sellers only, no buyers. This
guy has broken one of the basic rules. Don't run the bids up higher than the
listed price.

The car sold on eBay in November 2005, and it appears that the current
seller (in Hawaii!) is using the same photos showing cars with Virginia
plates in the background. The description sounds a little odd, especially
the bit about eBay recommending a VIN of all "1s". I've written to the
seller with some information that should make him bite, and if I don't get a
response I will conclude it's a scam.
