Thanks again to everyone who responded. I picked up a good quality 5/8"
spark plug socket for a couple bucks at a local flea market and cut a slot
in it to accommodate the capillary tube. Worked like a champ.

The nut and the bulb came out as one piece, so I had to be really careful
to spread the twist out over the whole capillary tube to avoid damaging the
tube at the nut. Is this the way it should be, or should the nut spin
freely around the bulb?

Re: the turn signal indicators. As everyone suggested the the green
plastic had melted with use. One side split apart with almost no
pressure. The other one unscrews about 3/8 of an inch, and I think if I
can cut the distorted end from the back, then I'll be able to salvage it.

Thanks again... I couldn't get some of this done without the help from
this list.

- Tom
