Attachment of TD Threshold Plates

Thanks to all who responded to my quesry about location of the late TD
turn signal switch.
 
Can anyone comment on how best to attach the door threshold plates on
TD's? I realize they were not original, but my car came with a new set
and I think they would dress the area up a bit.
