Another option for locating the temp sensor is to mount it into one of the freeze plugs on the block. Also, if you look through the Jegs or Summit catalog, the sell a controller unit that varies fan speed according to temperature. That way you don't slam the electrical system with a 20 Amp surge every time it cuts in. It allows the fan to come on gently, and only speeds it up as neccessary. This is great for those of you with smaller altenators. I think it's around $60.00
