I just happened to have the conversion tables handy.
One Stone is equal to 4900 scruples(apothecary)
or 14 pounds(avoirdupois)
or 6.350293243 Kilograms
We usually use them for measuring our own weight
ie '10 stone weakling'
'18 stone bloater'
