Although I've only been familiar with MGs a little over a year,
I'm sure that no 69B would sell for $12000.  
A very nice, completely original (repainted once, original BMC
radio, leather seats, etc) that I looked at was for sale for
$6500, and this was at a dealership known for high prices.
So, to the owner of the "$12000" B, just hope that nothing
ever happens to it, and if it does, you'll have some money left
over after you replace it.
