Scott, Check the valve cover cap for that mayonaise-looking stuff. With the head pulled, a very, very accurate straight edge should indicate warpage on the head and block surfaces. I had the same problem but I had my entire engine rebuilt as well (terrible noises, no oil pressure after 15 minutes of driving). Good luck. It's worth a try...it would only take an afternoon and about $15-20 to change. Tyson |
