I wondered how to fit these carpet pieces when I did my roadster but gave up.  
When I 
got the V8 I found that it had one bracket, so made three more.  They are just 
flat 
strip a couple of inches long and half an inch wide, bent into a

                    |

        shape with a hole at one end to fit over the top rear-light stud and 
one at 
the other to accept the plastic press-stud.
