Check your speedo against a friend driving beside you.
If your engine is worn and a bit out of tune it's somewhat
reasonable to top out at 4500rpm in top gear, but that should be
a lot more than 50mph.
I've only had mine up to about 85mph and I got really scared, but
there was certainly more pull left.
