OK Barney, you caught me actually making a mistake

 When I typed that line I meant to say "..., FWD cars usually have
massive amounts of negative offset"
 I can only plead an excess of Guiness - my neighbors wife threw him a
suprise birthday party and I only agreed to come if she provided the
Guiness. She did - 2 six packs - and I turned out to be the only person
in the group with decent beer taste. (the rest were slurping Bubweisers),
and somebody had to uphold the tradition.
 Hey really it was an honest mistake - after all the "r" is just above
the "f" on the keyboard!  :>)

I was working from memory when I used the 2.5 " figure. Actually, the
spare set I have (assuming my bloodshot baby blues are working) measures
3.5", which coupled with the the 4.5 in rim width give a negative offset
of 1". 
 (for an explanation of this error, please refer to para. #3, above.)
