I have changed all the fluids in my 77B except for the steering rack and
the transmission and I have a couple questions.

1. How do I get the oil up into the tranny after I drain it?
A couple people told me to attach a hose ot the end of a spouted 90W
bottle with 20W50 in it and squeeze, but that will be pretty tough!

2. When I check/change the steering rack lubrication what should I be
aware of as far as to do and not to do?

TIA
Erik.

Erik -

For the transmission, I use one of those squeeze pumps designed to refuel
kerosene heaters. You can extend the output line with 5/16" fuel line
which slips snugly into the output spout. Stick that in the fill hole, the
input pipe from the pump goes into the Castrol 20W50 - and start
squeezing. It's time-consuming but relatively painless.
