Hiya,

Whenever I've tried to sell the GT in the past (even after beautiful
respray, rechrome etc), I got lots of bites but no takers. It is *really*
difficult to sell an MG in Aus., worse a GT. There are *lots* of MGs here.
Realistically, I'd be lucky to get $10-12,000 for my car ($6500-7800 - they
are worth more in Aus.), even though the body is perfect, the suspension is
perfect, and hopefully so will be the motor. So after the 4th-5th time of
advertising it, I figured, ok this is it, it's mine for life. lol! Call it
fate. <G> I wouldn't sell it these days, put way too much $ into it, that
I'd never, ever get back. Thats the problem with MGs IMO, the resale value
doesn't come close to offsetting the cost of parts/work etc - at least in
this country. One reason why it's good doing the work yourself and at least
saving on that component. The real benefit is being 'as one' with your MG...
;)) Nothing else like it when the little bugger spits some gunk in your eye,
cuts up your knuckles etc. Sigh, Just showing it's affection isn't it??.

Cheers,
Neil.
