New York City Taxi Cabs and found that there was no measurable

My only objection to the consumer reports study is that those NYC taxi cabs
ran almost 24 hours a day, and the engines never had time to get cold. If
synthetics really do flow better at low temperatures, than the primary
advantage of them was overlooked by the study. I don't claim to know if
synthetics are worth the money, but I don't think the study is very fair to
sythetics. As far as how long the non-synthetic oil lasts, it does seem
that modern oils are better, and that modern engines are inherently
cleaner...but does that mean that your 1950's designed engine shouldn't
have the oil changed more often? I don't know...
