I've got one for everyone. My "69" seems to run hot on the highway. It has a
totally rebuilt motor in it. New just about everything (Crank and cam
reground,.020 over pistons, new crank & cam bearings, new radiator and water
pump, also hardened seats installed to run unleaded gas). You get the
picture. It has 8500 miles on it now. Does anyone know what the temp reading
is at 'N' on the gauge in degrees? I have a 165 deg thermostat in and when
the needle is just to the right of 'N', I used a radiator gauge and it read
150 deg. Is this normal. Around town, 30-50 mph, the temp will stay around
'N' but as soon as I go onto the highway the temp soars to hot. HELP!!! I've
done everything I can think of. I've flushed out the radiator. Put in new
coolant. I even put water wetter in, but no change. Does anybody have any
suggestions because I'm all out?
