See now, my faith in humanity is restored. I polled my friends last week on
this very color question and no less than three said "Oh, you've got to do
the Union Jack like the Austin Powers Shaguar".

I was a bit shocked that in 20 or so emails nobody here had suggested
it. Now someone has.

Dont think I havent considered it. But I keep coming back to the fact that
this car will be a daily driver, and while I live in a nice neighborhood, I
work in a crappy one. (Cincinnati, remember those riots, those were about a
mile or three south of where I work. Work was part of the curfew'ed area,
home was decidedly not.) And I'm not entirely certain I'm willing to drive a
car daily that screams "Look at me, I have an expensive paint job so the
driver must have money." (Which I dont.)

Now, in the long run, I plan to build my fun car. Heritage shell, V8, fuel
injected, RV8 front panels and hood, dual exhaust, Trevor Taylor four wheel
independant suspension, Limited Slip Diff, etc. All built around a 64 title
whose corresponding car has disintegrated to nothingness. THAT, I think, is
the perfect car for a Union Jack paint job.
