You are completely right. I had forgotten that step. In fact, I am doing an
on/off resto on a wheel right now and was not doing that. I had been not
happy with the way the finish was going and that is what I was forgetting.
Thank you very much for jogging my memory, now I remember what that bag of
0000 steel wool in the basement is for :-)
