Peter:

Join the North American MGA Register. Its URL is
http://www.mgcars.org.uk/namgar/
ALL of the previous articles written in the register's "MGA!"
technical section are available as copies. The information is on
their web site.

Bookmark these two web sites:
http://safetyfast.homestead.com/home.html
http://www.ntsource.com/~barneymg/

Join the web site dedicated to the MGA twin cam and Deluxe at
http://www.mgatwincam.homestead.com/
Deluxe owner Grank Graham is on the above list and his website is
the safeteyfast one listed above.

For the mechanical books get a copy of the factory shop manual or
one printed by Haynes.

There's not one REALLY good book for appearance. For some help
on the body, upholstery, etc., get a copies of:
"The MGA Restoration Guide" by Malcom Green
"Original MGA", by Anders Clausager

A very good book but out of print and hard to find is:
"The A-Antics Tech Tips" Published by the MIchigan Chapter of the
North American MGA Register (NAMGAR).

Other helpful books have been put out by:
Todd Clark of Clark Spares
John Twist of University Motors
"MGA History and Restoration Guide" by Bob Vitrikas

Stay on this list and ask questions.

<<<snip>>>
It has 4-wheel disk brakes

That's the critical part for a deluxe. To veryify that the car
was built that way, get a copy of it's build specifications. An
application and link can be found at the NAMGAR site written at
the top of this message.
