If you want the wire wheels, you also need a complete wire wheel rear
axle.
COST!
OD or 5 speed $1000 to $2500
Wire wheels $1200
Wire wheel front hubs $300 plus any reconditioning
Wire wheel rear axle $500 plus reconditioning
Tuned 1600 $3000
Transmission rebuild $500+
1800 engine $500 plus rebuild
All of these figures could be on the low side as its been awhile since
I've had much work done. Besides I don't know how much you can do
yourself. AND you haven't started on the rest of the car yet.
IMO: You'd be money ahead to sell the MGA's to someone who's willing to
rebuild them as they were made. Then use the money to buy a good used
MGB with OD and wire wheels if those are the options you really want.
