i read the article as well, bearing in mind that this is Mike(?) Pierce of
Pierce manifolds.  The guts of the engine are all high zoot stuff.  The
engine makes 172hp and pulls to 8000rpm.  It has Pierce crossflow Al head,
weber side draft carbs, twin point Mallory dist etc.  From what the article
said the thing really comes alive at 6500rpm, and that mated with a 5speed
trans it is a very driveable and potent car.  It lists all of what is inside
the engine, and also says that it would take $15k to reproduce the car.  I
don't know what kind of car that assumes you start with.
