my 1970 roadster had the oil pressure gauge with a remote pressure sensor,
and i never liked it. I believe i actually replaced it with the kind that
has the pressure sensor built into the gauge. the other 4 MGB that i have
owned, all newer than the 1970, had the oil line all the way to the gauge
variety. the latter variety is IMHO MUCH better because it doesn't take as
long to respond to changes in oil pressure.
